    Community Fundraising Manager

    THE COMPANY:

    This amazing 'Not-For-Profit' organisation is dedicated to helping 12-25 year olds who have had their lives turned upside down by cancer. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in raising awareness of the organisation and enhancing their reputation.

    THE ROLE:

    Reporting to the Head of Partnerships the Community Fundraising Manager will have the overall responsibility for developing, reviewing and implementing the community fundraising strategy which will see the organisation become a market leader.

    The main responsibilities include:

    Strategic Development:
    - Undertake strategic review of the existing Community Fundraising (CFR) portfolio and develop a strategic plan for community fundraising, including recommendations on those events and activities the organisation should invest/divest in
    - Ensure strategy aligns with the ocmpanies overall strategic objectives, ensuring sustainable growth in net income year on year
    - Ensure effective communication of the strategy across the organisation, particularly across the Marketing and Fundraising team, to gain engagement of the agreed deliverables
    - Keep abreast of market trends and best practice and ensure the organisation practices are meeting, and exceeding these standards
    - Harness and work alongside the companies state and territory division staff to engage local connections and identify opportunities

    Operational Management
    - Project manage CFR and events portfolio to meet agreed outcomes including:
    o Supporter acquisition and retention
    o Direct marketing outcomes (through numerous channels)
    o Development and management of revenue and expenditure budgets
    o Regional/interstate workshops
    o Reporting
    o Event Management
    o Data analysis
    - Translate the overall Community Fundraising strategy into specific and deliverable operational work plans including tracking and analysis of performance, market research, improved strategy and tactics, improved systems and improved outcomes.
    - Plan, implement, monitor and evaluate a broad range of projects, activities and promotions to ensure agreed targets are met
    - Work closely with the community fundraising team, volunteers and staff in fundraising to deliver a wide range of community events, with a focus on maximising engagement of supporters and delivering net income
    - Liaise with the broader Marketing and Fundraising team to ensure integration of all fundraising activities to maximise participation across a variety of channels.
    - Ensure community and events fundraisers receive a high level of support, communication and training to provide superior levels of customer service
    - Ensure effective processes to deliver accurate reporting of income, expenditure and supporter engagement
    - Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and fundraising standards
    - Continual review of the CFR database, seeking ongoing improvement that meets state and national program objectives

    Financial Management
    - Responsible for setting and forecasting income and expenditure budgets for all community fundraising activities
    - Monitor and report on progress and performance against budget and reforecast income and expenditure on a regular basis
    - Responsible for producing post campaign/event reports that include analysis of key performance measures. This will encompass interpretation and subsequent adjustments to strategy
    - Responsible for writing business cases for new innovations considering short and long term outcomes.

    YOU:

    - The ideal candidate will have a tertiary qualification in a relevant field or demonstrated industry experience
    - Proven experience of increasing income from marketing/sales/fundraising activities
    - Proven community fundraising and events experience
    - Proven budget and financial management and developing marketing campaigns and/ or fundraising campaigns
    - Proven experience in using data to analyse and understand performance and making recommendations based on this analysis
    - Experience in PR - press releases, marketing collateral and branding policies
