Changes to the Job Market for Job Seekers 2023

The past few weeks have seen a huge uptick in opportunities for both agency and client-side.

On the flip-side, unfortunately many of our candidates have experienced redundancies across media agencies and client-side also as a result of reduced media and advertising spending.

Our Senior Consultant, Larisa Todd, notes this is quite a unique time as many businesses are either expanding to teams to keep up with demand or fill resignations but at the same time many industries are experiencing high amounts of redundancies.

This may be an extremely challenging time for some people as businesses are losing clients and as a result letting go of many of their employees.

Our recruiters are trying to fill many roles at the moment across a variety of industries including:

  • Global and independent agencies across the FMCG, retail, travel and hospitality sectors

  • Retail, property and financial services sectors for marketing and communications

  • Contracts for working holiday visa candidates for client-side roles in both traditional and digital marketing

  • Marketing contracts for 6-12months with leading brands

If youโ€™ve been made redundant and are looking for a new role, itโ€™s important to be honest with recruiters about why the redundancy has come about and what youโ€™re looking for next.

Get your CV ready with our top tips to prepare for your job search. Prepare to answer common and tricky job interview questions.
