Our client was established by the Australian Government to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of medical services for the community. They are currently seeking a Marketing and Communications Specialist to join their team on a six-month contract.
THE ROLE:
Reporting to the General Manager, Business Development, Marketing and Communications, your main responsibilities will include:
- Planning and delivering marketing and communication activities to support the organisation’s objectives
- Writing and editing a range of marketing and communications materials, including eDMs, news articles, media releases, case studies, promotional materials, flyers, corporate communications, reports, letters, and other content as required
- Creating and delivering content for digital channels and communication platforms, including the website and social media
- Liaising with internal teams to provide relevant and timely information to online subscribers and external audiences via email, social media, and websites
- Writing and editing copy for both digital and print to ensure high-quality, effective communications
- Managing online analytics reporting and content production
- Commissioning and sourcing photographs and other visual materials to support communication and marketing activities
- Supporting publicity campaigns to build brand profile and general awareness
- Working with third-party marketing and communications suppliers to deliver key outcomes
- Developing and distributing regular communications, including eNews, event updates, board updates, commissioning updates, newsletters, surveys, and other communications
- Editing and formatting corporate communications and marketing collateral to ensure compliance with accreditation standards, organisational policies, and guidelines (e.g., media policy, brand guidelines)
The ideal candidate will have:
- A tertiary qualification in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or relevant professional experience in marketing and/or communications
- Strong ability to create compelling, multi-channel marketing content and materials
- Experience in developing and implementing communication content across a range of tools and platforms, including MailChimp and WordPress
- Experience creating and delivering digital content (WordPress)
- Familiarity with managing social media channels such as Facebook, Twitter/X, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube
- Experience crafting media releases, including consumer and service provider stories, and building media relationships
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and online software (e.g., databases, CMS)
- Graphic design skills and experience with Adobe Creative Suite and/or Canva (desirable but not essential)
